Multicamerata
The MULTICAMERATA chamber music ensemble was created on the initiative of Henryk Giza, a bass player. Since 1991 year the MULTICAMERATA has regularly given concerts in Poland and abroad - in Germany, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Lithuania, Latvia, Sweden and Finland and Vatican. In commemoration of the most eminent Torunian Nicolaus Copernicus, in 1993, the year of the 520th anniversary of his birth, the 450th anniversary of his death and 450th anniversary of the first publication of the "De revolutionibus" the MULTICAMERATA  organised a great concert tournee visiting the Polish and Italian towns that had welcomed the famous astronomer. The MULTICAMERATA set forth a concert cycle based on idea presentation of famous dances. In the frames of the cycle were organised concerts tours entitled "Walc" and "Soiree Tango" presented in Poland and France in 1997 and 1998 year. The MULTICAMERATA is collaborating with French ensemble OPUS 16 and Swedish Gotlands Blasarkvintett. The ensemble has recorded ten CD records and made several radio and television recordings. The MULTICAMERATA has performed with outstanding soloists such as flautist Jadwiga Kotnowska, pianists Marek Drewnowski, Piotr Folkert, Waldemar Malicki, Piotr Paleczny, Alberto Neuman (Argentina) ... The MULTICAMERATA has inspired the creation and has been the main organiser of the Festival of Music and Art from Baltic Countries - PROBALTICA. The main idea of the festival is to present and promote culture of each from 10 participated Baltic Countries with a main pressure on the artistic and musical life. The PROBALTICA is organised under auspices of the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs every year in first days of May and participate in it the outstanding artists, soloists, ensembles and orchestras representing their homelands and hometowns. In September and October 99 the ensemble had a European concert tournee "Hommage a Chopin". The concerts with music of a great composer were performed in Sweden, France, Lithuania and Latvia with pianists from countries where take place the concerts. The result of co-operation with young talented pianist Lully Sakaguchi is fifth record of the ensemble dedicated  to Frederic Chopin. In 2001 year on the occasion of the 10 anniversary of founding of the ensemble are prepared many special concerts. The concerts with the excellent soloists and ensembles will take place in all the 10 Baltic Countries e.g. in Royal Library in Copenhagen, Philharmonic Hall in Kaliningrad, Strindberg Theatre in Stockholm etc...
